Why do I need an account?
This site is private and provides several layers of privacy protection for its members and their personal data. The account registration uniquely identifies and verifies members and links them to their personal family tree.
-
Why do I have to provide my Name?
Your name is only used in your pages as personal greeting and to identify you when you invite your family and friends to be members of your Family Tree.

Why do I need a working e-mail address?
Site users are identified by their e-mail address and password. The account verification requires a user response to a registration e-mail that is sent to the applicant and has a unique identifier.

How can my family members login and participate in my tree?
The owner (creator) of a family tree can invite other family members to become members of that tree. The members have to create their own accounts with a unique e-mail and password combination as part of the invitation process. The invited members can be given different levels of data access by the owner.
-
How can my friends join?
The owner (creator) of a family tree can also invite friends to join the owner's tree. However, the friends first have to create their own account.
