Nantucket Bay Scallop Sauté

Sautéed scallops and the crusty French Peasant Bread from Judies are made for each other. What a wonderful treat for sea food lovers that is easy and fast prepared

These are the best scallops available on the East Coast! Half the size of sea scallops but double the size of conventional bay scallops, they have such an aromatic sweet flavor and soft texture that they melt on the tongue even when eaten raw.

Getting Started with Cooking Greens

Get in Advance:

 

Attention:

 

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

½ lb Nantucket scallops, patted dry if necessary

 

1 garlic clove, slivered

1/2 tablespoon lemon juice

3 tablespoons white wine

1/3 of quarter teaspoon coarse black pepper

Chopped parsley

½ lemon, cut into wedges

Crusty French bread

 

Recipe

For 1 Portions. Prep time: 10 min.

 

Cut up French bread (Judies Peasant Bread) and set aside. Prepare salad if desired.

 

Heat olive oil in large heavy skillet over medium heat

Add scallops spread out and sear for 30-60 sec until they just brown but not shrunken, turn once

Remove pan from heat

Add garlic, lemon and wine.

Season with pepper and sprinkle with parsley.

 

Serve immediately with bread.

Then take from fire and prepare sauce in pan

and serve immediately
